Empowering Livelihoods through Healthcare Skill Development

A CredSure Project: In September 2022 CredSure embarked on a project supported by DEG to empower and increase qualification and employability of staff in  the rural Indian healthcare sector through the introduction of a digital, education to employment skilling platform in India.

What is the project all about

Promote India’s Healthcare Sector By Empowering 1000 Healthcare Professionals In Rural Telangana With Skills, Certification, Knowledge And Jobs Through A Mobile First, Digital Healthcare Platform.

THe Challenges

The Inevitable Need for Digitisation

The Indian Health Care market is expected to grow at over 16% YoY over the next 5 years. This growth is putting pressure on a fragile infrastructure that is lacking trained and qualified staff. Without the right qualifications, there is a risk that the quality of care will decrease and limit the ability of India to improve health care provision across the country. As can be seen from the terrible impact of the second wave of COVID-19, the Indian Healthcare system in large cities is not equipped to deal with emergency situations, let alone rural India. Without technology, the healthcare training and certification industry is challenged to maintain trust and uphold quality standards.

Challenges in the Rural Indian Healthcare Sector

This project is hopefully only the beginning of something much bigger. We hope to alleviate some of the pressure on the rural healthcare system by upskilling local nurses with specifically developed courses ultimately giving them better employment opportunities.

Digitising the healthcare sector

In partnership, CredSure International (Germany) and TÜV Rheinland (Germany + India), with support from Apollo Medskills (India), intend to establish an end to end, trusted, education and recruitment platform for the Indian healthcare system. The platform, built using CredSure’s existing platform technology, will provide transparent access to internationally recognized and certified health care training, delivered by Apollo Medskills and certified by TÜV Rheinland with recognition from the Indian Government. The platform will drive capacity building in the healthcare sector and provide information, guidance and coaching to support professionals in choosing a healthcare career.
